WHO WE ARE

Veni Vidi: "I came, I saw..."

Veni Vidi Theatre Company was founded in 2008 by Natalie-Anne Downs, Edward Dede and Nina Bjørklund.

Veni Vidi is dedicated to producing theatre of the highest artistic merit that challenges, entertains and explores the limitless possibilities of the theatrical art form. From developing new writing projects to exploring classic and contemporary texts, we aim to create and devise new productions while establishing an environment that supports and nurtures new talent.

Veni Vidi's ensemble of actors, writers, directors and producers, share the same company vision of wanting theatre to be inclusive and reachable to all and to encourage audiences to think about the world around them.
Our current focus is not only to explore the potential of using unusual and unexplored spaces that can be utilised to create dynamic performances spaces but to also explore other mediums, such as sound that can be used within the theatrical art form.

In our effort to support and encourage young and emerging artists, we previously produced a number of comedy & music evenings to showcase new talented poets, comics, bands and musicians. Previous shows have showcased the talents of and up coming acts Ginger and Black (Radio 4’s The Weekly Show, Comedy Shuffle - BBC3), Ahir Shah (Campus -Channel 4) Inuah Ellams (The 14th Tale - National Theatre), Jay Foreman (The General Election Xplained, Dave Gorman’s Powerpoint Presentation) and Joel Dommett (MTV News,Skins, Russel Howards Good News Extra).

With all of our ongoing projects the company also produces a collection of classical and contemporary audio dramas as a resource to stream or download through the Veni Vidi Theatre company website.
